Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical designer (Aerospace) 12-month renewable contract On-site position Monday-Friday 40 hours a week Work location: Mississauga ON Area code: 416, 647 Zip code: L5T Salary range 70k-90k Keywords: #Mechanical.designer.jobs #Aerospace.designer.jobs #Aerospace.industry.jobs What your day to day will look like? You are responsible to provide technical support to the supply chain by performing the following:

Design modifications that will resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.
Initiate design modifications for cost reductions.

The tools you need to be successful

A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
Member of PEO is recommended.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design.
General knowledge of engineering disciplines (aerodynamics, heat transfer, structures, dynamics).
Strong communication skills, written and oral.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and CATIA V5 is an asset.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
